Whew

I've been watching Veronica Mars, which is surprisingly good even though it's on UPN. So, there's a super cute guy on, Logan. Mmmm, Logan. Then, later last night, The Nanny came on and I saw Brighton and the thought that Brighton and Logan were one in the same crept in.

Luckily, they're not, whew.

Klass

I spent some time in our local mall today. It's like the old Esplanade. Indoor, more storefronts dark than open, plenty of hand-lettered signs, you get the drift. So I'm cruising through (not in the gay way) and pass two fifty-something guys sitting in the massage chairs. They're not using them for anything more than sitting, however. Plenty of benches around, but gotta sit in the fancy chairs. Well, one guy seems to be trying to fix a clipboard, The other says something I can't hear, and the one with the clipboard responds, "You can't even fix your own fucking dick." This is said with more than just a little disdain. I imagine every day for these two involves a similar exchange. Klassy with a freakin' "K."

Yikes

I emptied the vacuum cleaner into the trash and lo and behold there I found the hair of Frederick Douglas.

Fancy!

I wish I had the kind of talent required to create this.

What is this?

Fried cock

Do you hate the BK Chicken Fries commercials as much as I do? Please tell me
yes.

Mayo

So, does the jingle, "Bring out the Best Foods, and bring out the best!" change to "Bring out the Hellman's, and bring out the hell!" once you get east of the Rockies? 'Cause I'd be down with that.

Tragedy in NC

Puffy

Now that I live somewhere hot and humid and thick, I tend towards the puffy side of life. Being so, I have found I really appreciate, sometimes with a smile, the moments where I realize my rings are loose. Ah, not so puffy, yes.

Wow!

On the news just now, they said, that one kind of cancer has always been a risk for smokers, but now, it could be a risk for non-smokers! OMG. I really had no idea. Wow. I guess this tobacco-growing state is really forward thinking after all. :|

Pissed

Well, my husband is going to war Monday and I am so pissed. I'm pissed he has to go for this bullshit and I'm pissed that he's leaving me alone here. I'm pissed that I don't know if I'll be able to handle it or, at least, how well I'll handle it. I'm pissed because I'd rather be mad than scared and scared is what I really am. And every day I hear about Marines dying and even though my husband's job is safer than a lot of those guys', how can I not think about the fact that he's going to fucking Iraq and it's going to take a lot of people doing their best and a lot of luck for him to come home to me. Nobody wants to allow themselves to think the worst, but while we're getting all our ducks in a row and making sure the life insurance and powers of attorney are in place, the thoughts creep in. But it's my job to be supportive and positive, not self-pitying. I just don't know how to do that yet. Guess I'm in for a crash course.

**Just found out he's leaving Sunday instead! Oh great!**
